About the programme

1 Who should join this programme?

This programme is best suited for students who are looking for an intensive English language and cultural exchange experience. This programme is recommended for high school students but is open to people of all ages. Study Abroad Global is a great fit for students who are planning to study abroad and gain a short-term experience in their preferred study destination to help with their decision making process.

2 What are the benefits of joining a study tour with Study Abroad Global?

Going on a study tour has endless benefits. Students will be able to improve their English proficiency through formal classes, immersion and daily life by being in a native English speaking country. They will be exposed to new people from around the world, both in the programme and through their excursions. They will experience a new culture and tour popular destinations. Following the completion of the programme, each successful student will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

3 Can a parent/guardian join the trip with their student?

Yes! Study Abroad Global can arrange for parents/guardians to accompany their student. Please contact us for more details.

4 How do I know which destination to pick?

Choosing a destination can be challenging; however, thinking about what you hope to get out of the programme and some general research on each destination and what is offered can assist in the decision. Study Abroad Global will also have a representative that can advise you on the best programme for your needs.

Getting ready to apply for Study Abroad Global

1 What materials do I need to apply?

You will need a visa application form, two passport-sized photographs, a valid passport, confirmation of Study Abroad Global, study documents in your home country and evidence of financial ability.

Getting ready for your Study Abroad Global

1 What do students need to bring with them?

The majority of materials a student will need are provided by the school; however, there are a few additional things to bring along.
  1. Your passport
  2. Documents required to prove your visa status
  3. Clothes, suitable for the weather at your destination. Consult with our representative to learn what is best. It is best to pack a range of versatile clothes to ensure you are prepared.
  4. A small amount of spending money
  5. Insurance information
  6. Toiletries including a towel
  7. Any specific medical treatment or medicine

2 Is insurance needed?

All students are required to have insurance before they arrive. This is part of their Study Abroad Global package. Please consult with our representative and review our insurance section for more information.

3 Do you have any information to read before arriving?

Study Abroad Global has a pre-arrival guide that every student and their family should read before departing.

When you arrive at your destination

1 What are the class sizes?

This will vary based on the destination but the usual class size is about 15 students.

2 What are the sleeping arrangements?

This will vary based on the destination but in most cases, students will be in sleeping facilities approved by the school. Boy and girls will be separated in a homestay with local families. If you have any special requirements please speak to a Study Abroad Global representative.

3 What is a homestay?

A homestay is where a student lives with a local family that has been approved by the programme. This gives the student both a language and cultural immersion experience that will make their experience unique.

4 How do students contact home?

Students will have access to free Wi-Fi so they are able to and are encouraged to make phone calls home throughout the trip.

5 Who do I contact if I have any questions while my child is at the school?

The Study Abroad Global team will have a guardian that is available to be contacted throughout the trip

6 What if you have special dietary requirements?

Tell Study Abroad Global if you have any dietary restrictions to ensure the programme can accommodate.

7 Do students need spending money?

Yes, the student should bring some spending money. Please speak to our representative about the appropriate amount which will vary based on time period, destination and personal preference.
