ACET is the leader in Vietnam in the provision of Academic English (AE) and IELTS preparation courses. ACET has been delivering the AE curriculum, provided by UTS: Insearch in Sydney, since 2002. Minimum qualifications and experience:
- University degree
- Native English speaker (or IELTS Band 8 for non-native speaking teachers)
- CELTA or equivalent high quality teaching qualification (minimum 6 hours of observed lessons)
- Online courses are not accepted, due to NEAS requirements, nor are courses of less than 120 hours in length.
Other requirements:
- Be available in Vietnam for at least 1 year
- Be able to meet Vietnamese regulations to obtain a work permit (you must bring your original degree and teaching certificates with you, as well as a police clearance certificate)
- Regulations vary for each nationality
ACET offers successful CELTA candidates a 50% discount on the cost of the CELTA, with the condition of signing a 12 month contract within four weeks of completing the course. The money will be refunded in two halves – after the 6th payment of the year, and at the end of the 12 month contract.
